CHECK OUT OUR NEWEST PROGRAM!
SO MANY HAVE ASKED…WE’RE SO HAPPY WE CAN FINALLY BRING THIS TO YOU!
Dig into the wonders of the vernal pool grasslands with Splash! In this engaging, eight-session program, students in grades 6–8 will explore the fascinating connections between native plants and local wildlife. Through hands-on activities, students will investigate plant life cycles, discover the importance of pollinators, and learn how to cultivate a thriving California native pollinator garden. Along the way, they’ll meet local birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals—uncovering how each is uniquely adapted to this special ecosystem. Students will get to use microscopes, binoculars, and loupes, to observe nature up close and from afar, while interactive games and nature journaling deepen their understanding. They’ll get creative making placards and seed bombs, and even design a pollinator garden to take home. The adventure wraps up with a meaningful restoration project at the center, where students put their knowledge into action. Come prepared to spend time both indoors and out—this is learning in nature, the Splash way!
