Meet Trent Murphy, our newest team member at Sacramento Splash!
With a strong dedication to fostering connections between children and the natural world, Trent joins us as the Opportunity Development Coordinator. He will be working closely under the guidance of the CEO, Mackenzie Wieser. In this vital role, Trent will serve as a bridge and initiator, facilitating connections between Splash and local organizations, governments, and state agencies. The primary focus of this position will be amplifying awareness about Splash’s mission and identifying potential funding opportunities.
Trent has extensive experience in advocacy and is a graduate of California State University, Stanislaus. He joins us from the Cal State Student Association, where he led advocacy efforts as its Vice President of Legislative Affairs. In this role, he lobbied state legislators to increase equity in California’s public higher education system. He also enjoys volunteering, including having led an environmental education organization while a student at CSU Stanislaus. Trent’s hobbies include kayaking, hiking, and hanging out with his extremely energetic dog, Kora.
By acting as the link between Splash and the community, Trent plays a pivotal role in our mission to expand environmental education. We are thrilled to welcome Trent to the team and anticipate his valuable contributions in advancing our vision of fostering a more environmentally conscious generation.
