We’re thrilled to announce that Sacramento Splash has been named a top 3 finalist in the environment category for Impact100 Greater Sacramento’s $100,000 grant!
If awarded Impact100’s grant, the resources would be put towards the newest addition to Sacramento Splash’s programming, Project AWE. Project AWE brings historical significance to life at the Historic Nicolaus Dairy, by offering 2nd through 5th grade students hands-on educational experience in the fields of Agriculture, Water, Energy, and the Environment (AWE). We’re weaving together local history, sustainable practices, and environmental stewardship through our tailored education programs.
This unique field trip is not just about a day of fun – it’s about connecting classroom teachings to real-life experiences, fostering new learning, and leaving an indelible mark on the students’ understanding of the world around them. Today was our first field trip day of 100 already scheduled and booked for the 23-24 school year. We are in AWE that we already have a waitlist for this exciting program.
Impact100 Greater Sacramento is a force for change, and we’re humbled to be considered for funding from this transformative movement. Impact100 began with a vision to bring women together, combining talents, resources, and connections to create something truly impactful. Just like Impact100, we at Sacramento Splash believe that change is possible when individuals unite for a common cause.
As we eagerly await Impact100’s final announcement in October, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of our journey – our volunteers, supporters, partners, and the incredible teachers and youth who have participated in our programs. Together, we’re creating ripples of change that will impact generations to come. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to pave the way for a brighter, more informed, and environmentally conscious future.
