Sacramento Splash Scores at SVP Fast Pitch

by Trent Murphy

On December 7th, our community gathered at The Sofia for the SVP Fast Pitch Showcase, and the atmosphere was nothing short of electric! Each participating nonprofit gave a three-minute presentation, or ‘pitch’, to convince the audience and judges that their cause was worthy of their financial support. No props, photos, or slideshows, only words to convey the impact the organization makes in the region.

Our CEO, Mackenzie, did an amazing job articulating the impact Splash has on our community. Mackenzie secured the third-place prize of $5,000 from the judges and an additional $3,000 from individual donors for Splash to continue our mission of connecting children with nature. Woo hoo!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to SVP Sacramento for inviting Splash to participate in their program. We were grateful to be participating alongside 16 nonprofits who were phenomenal at sharing their powerful stories, passion, and dedication to making positive change in Sacramento. While Fast Pitch may seem like a fierce competition, all nonprofits in the program went above and beyond to help each other be the best that they could be, and bonds have been formed that will create even more collaborative impact.
