Sacramento Splash is honored to say we completed our first fundraising event on March 21, 2025, AWE in Action! Our adult field trip wasn’t just a tour of Project AWE (our newest program at the Historic Nicolaus Dairy). It was an experience! Our fantastic staff took our guests to see our youth field trip in action, leaving them inspired! They walked away with a deeper connection to nature and a stronger understanding of the daily program Splash runs for youth. We even had an alumnus back to tell his story, and Jameson’s journey is full of pride and excitement!

A big round of applause to our energetic auctioneer and emcee for the morning, Freddie Silveria with FSA Auctions, who captured our wow factor and inspired the guests at our Fund the Future. The generosity was overwhelming, raising almost $18,000 in the Fund the Future. Thank you to one of Elk Grove’s finest, Sheldon Inn, for donating the wine club dinner for 4. Thank you, Freddie!
The love and generosity shown by everyone at our event were felt, and many said we should make this an annual event. Our mission means so much to us, and for the community to get a glimpse of the core memories we are creating with the kids is an honor to share. It’s often hard to explain to donors where their money is going, so having donors see firsthand each of the well-orchestrated stations and the excellent docents running them left donors feeling good about where their money is going.

On behalf of the entire Splash family, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors. First, our dedicated program sponsors Sacramento Area Sewer District as our Major sponsor and SMUD as our gold sponsor. Thank you for believing in our mission and going the distance with us. Our inspiring event sponsors are Sierra Health Foundation as our G.O.A.T sponsor, HDR, Inc., Poppy Bank, Insperity, Beneficial State Bank, Wood Rodgers, and Republic Services as our AWE-Inspiring sponsors, and Sacramento Regional Transit as our AWE-Some sponsor. Thank you for your total confidence in Splash and Project AWE for our first fundraiser!
If you got a tasty treat at the event, you have experienced Marie Mertz’s brilliance at Todo Un Poco. It was all delicious, everyone. Please support this Elk Grove hotspot. We are so grateful for the donation shuttle Paratransit provided for safe travels to and from your vehicle.
We hope everyone enjoyed the event and found it valuable. This is the first of many, and we can’t wait to see what 2025 brings!
