“This camp was so much fun! I really liked the water days. Everything felt special, and it was cool to know this camp was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. YELC inspired me to want to make the world a better place.“
– Sophia B., YELC Camper
Imagine your child spending their summer exploring nature, discovering how to protect our planet, and building friendships that last a lifetime. That’s exactly what the Youth Environmental Leadership Camp (YELC) offers, and spots are filling up fast!
Applications for YELC opened this month, and the response has been incredible! We’ve received 65 applications from young leaders eager to dive into conservation, take action in their communities, and experience hands-on learning. Don’t wait. Apply now before all spots are filled!
Please make sure you read our website to learn more about the requirements of the camp. This camp is free, but it comes with a sense of responsibility for your camper and a commitment of support from you as a parent! YELC teaches your child how to get involved with local nonprofit organizations to volunteer in the community and also requires your camper to conduct a very small personal fundraiser! We have heard that these requirements were fun for the whole family, so apply and learn where to volunteer before March 31, 2025 to get preference into this camp. It’s likely we will stop taking applications as soon as the first week of March so apply now!

Parents love YELC for its unforgettable experiences and its inclusive environment.
“By the second day, our daughter was brainstorming ideas to fundraise for Team Trees, discussing our plastic bottle use with us, and telling us all about Strykette (the rattlesnake). She took even more of an interest than we expected, and she learned a ton about climate change. All around, this was a fantastic experience. We’re excited to see her want to be part of the solution to some of our environmental problems, and we’re happy to help her get some trees planted. Special thanks to the field trip location hosts. She’s never before been to a farm or seen a waste management facility. Again, fantastic program!” says Laura M., a YELC parent.
Every camper feels seen, supported, and inspired to make a difference.
This is more than just a camp. It’s an opportunity for your child to grow, explore, and lead. Please give them the summer of a lifetime and the tools to change the world.
